What began as an idea has now grown to become a necessity. We are seven Law students on a mission to make the changes we wish to see in our society. We do not wait for more time to pass, we wish to see these changes today; we begin now.

The term “Consigliere” originates from the Italian word meaning “Counsellor” or “Advisor”. Our Goal is to spread awareness to one and all about their  rights as citizens.

The Consiglieres is an online awareness forum that deals primarily with the legal, economic, social and political scenario of both India and the world. It is an interactive place where people can spread their own ideas on reformation, debate on on-going topics and be known in their community as thinkers and citizens willing to make a difference; even if it is a small contribution. Every drop makes an ocean, as they say.
The more awareness is spread, the more proactive people will become. Rather than sitting in our cozy dens and criticizing the state of affairs in our beloved country, lets follow in the footsteps of our great social activists and our freedom fighters who have now been reduced to mere myths and legends.

This is, however, not enough and therefore we at The Consiglieres considered it essential to initiate a program that would aid the less fortunate members of our society. “Sahayak” is an on the field effort started by The Consiglieres to guide the “aam aadmi” so that he too can get the chance of living his dream, so that he too may have a voice, so that he too will join hands to fight corruption and injustice.

Sahayak

Empowering the weak and the underprivileged is our first and foremost goal . Sahayak is our initiative to venture out and connect with the people who have been denied with their rights just because of their lack of proficiency in the English language . Our effort is to establish a relation with them by communicating in the language they are comfortable with, making them aware of their rights and making the people around aware of the infringement of their legal and fundamental rights. The sibsequent objective is to take the initiative among the masses, in turn helping those in need without being overwhelmed by greed. Sahayak is an association of seven law students who will use their time, resources and most importantly their pens and papers to make every  person within and without their social ambit legally and socially aware. We are working with NGO’s and hence we require a grass-root level connection with those in deprivation. Sahayak promises to educate, empower, enlighten and, most importantly, to help and guide .
